About HDXPRT

High Definition eXperience & Performance Ratings Test (HDXPRT) is a benchmark for evaluating the capabilities of PCs in consumer digital media usages. Principled Technologies, Inc. (PT), a leading provider of independent technology assessment services, publishes and distributes HDXPRT.

The HDXPRT Development Community is a membership-based forum through which interested parties can contribute to the ongoing evolution of HDXPRT. Community members contribute to the definition of upcoming versions of the benchmark. They also play a key role in ensuring that HDXPRT incorporates the latest in user-experience benchmarking and meets the needs and interests of a range of individuals and organizations.

As administrator of the Development Community, PT makes sure the forums run smoothly, collects member input to help define future versions of HDXPRT, runs the HDXPRT Beta program, and coordinates feedback from Community members.

HDXPRT 2011 is the sixth revision of the benchmark. It includes tests for popular consumer usage models such as 1080p high-definition video transcoding, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo manipulation, Windows® 7 Drag & Drop transcoding for portable media players, digital media creation, HD Flash video playback, and Blu-ray™-quality HD video playback.
